Amongst our wide range of products we manufacture Recycled Builders Film (LDPE Film) of black and various attractive colors having width of 10 ft, 12 ft, 15 ft, 18 ft with length varying from 100 ft to 600 ft.

It is also used in agricultural operations as silo bunker covers, silage bags, bale wrap, greenhouse covers, haulage covers, row covers, and mulch film.

We manufacture LDPE Film starting from 50 micron to 300 micron thickness.

LOW DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (LDPE)

LDPE is a thermoplastic obtained through the high pressure free radical polymerization of ethylene. It is manufactured by one of two processes – tubular or autoclave. In both processes, high purity ethylene is introduced into the reactor at high pressures and temperatures with an initiator.  The resultant polymer has a branched structure which gives it the distinctive properties of clarity, flexibility and ease of extrusion.

Properties :

Tailoring of LDPE resins for the various applications is done through  the balancing and control of :

• molecular weight or melt flow index
• crystallanity, and
• molecular weight distribution (MWD).

Melt flow index (MFI)

As the MFI is reduced, the strength properties are improved but flow properties are decrased.

Crystallanity : As the percent crystallanity increases, there is an increase in

• stiffness
• chemical resistance
• barrier properties
• tensile strength and
• heat resistance;  

but a decrease in

• impact strength
• tear strength and
• stress-crack resistance.

Molecular weight distribution (MWD): 

The flow properties are improved with a broader MWD.

Applications :

LDPE can be used alone , blended or coextruded with other members of the PE resin family for a variety of packaging, construction, agricultural, industrial and consumer applications.

The largest application of LDPE is in films produced either by the blown or cast extrusion process in both mono and coextrusions. Films made with LDPE exhibit :

• good opticals
• strength
• flexibility
• sealability and
• chemical inertness

The end-use applications include packaging of :

• consumer durables
• disposable diapers
• textiles
• agricultural film
• shrink film

LDPE is also used in extrusion coating applications for coating on various substrates like:

• paper
• board
• cloth
• other polymeric materials

Coatings of LDPE provide:

• good heat sealibility
• moisture barrier to the substrate

These are widely used in :

• aseptic packaging

Coextrusion of LDPE is widely used in high-barrier coextruded laminates where moisture barrier and sealability are important requirements.

Moulding applications for LDPE include closures and medical & consumer bottles that require squeezability.
